We got the young and beautiful—did I mention talented—Selina Xiong of Chozen One Productions in the house! I was already mesmerized by the triple threat that she possesses from the artistry in her as a singer, songwriter, and producer; yet, to magnify this she's also an aspiring model in hopes to one day become as big as Jenny Chu and Ariya Ly.

From a small Midwestern township of southwestern Wisconsin of La Crosse she's gradually ascending to become a someone in this small community. Hmoodle caught up with Selina for a one on one action with this little lady of her future agendas, and queries of trivial things in life that shapes a person.

Jerry:   Give us a short bio about yourself?

Selina:  Hmm…where should I start? Well, my real name is Cherie Xiong. I got the name "SELINA" when I was 12. My cousin's nickname was Reelina, and I guess I liked it. There were too many girls in my town using the name Cherry or had the name Sherry or Cheri. I wanted to be different and known as something else. I'm nineteen (just turned recently on August 29th) years old. I'm HMONG of course. I'm the oldest in my family out of 5 younger brothers and 2 younger sisters.

While growing up I loved music and it's been a part of my life. I was in orchestra and choir in elementary school. I was in choir and band in middle school. After that, I started rapping and recording during my high school years. What got me into rapping was through the stress I was going through during my teen years. All I ever did was wrote poems and I had a journal that I'd log all my thoughts in. I guess I wanted everyone to know how I was feeling, and I turned them all into the songs you hear me singing. Music healed my soul and forever, I will love it!

I'm a very nice person, but at times I admit I can and will be a b**ch if you get on my nerves or disrespect me (laughs). Not to hate or nothing, but it's just how I am.

Jerry:   Would you like to be remembered as Selina the talented musical artist or Selina the gorgeous hot bod Go-Go Girl? Why?

Selina:   I would prefer to be remembered as both, the gorgeous hot bod go-go musical artist. I'm "talently" gifted (not to be such a stuck up), and I don't just want to be anyone. I love giving my all to something I enjoy doing, plus when I get the chance to dream it into reality, I chase after it. I do my own layouts and edit my own images. I mix my own music together. Wow, I guess I got skills too (chuckles).

Jerry:   What kind of reaction did you get from friends and fams when finding out about your other choice of profession as a go-go dancer?

Selina:  My parents and their friends were shocked, yet they also believed that I'm just dancing, not stripping naked or anything as long as I'm covered up. My friends were amazed and excited. When I did my tryouts at the "SEX IN THE CITIES" night, most everyone I knew were there to cheer me on even if I had a bad night. Everyday someone finds out that I'm a go-go dancer for Chozen One Productions, and they'll come up to me and say something like: "So I heard you're a go-go dancer now?" That's the main question asked 24/7. Everyone who didn't know me before knew me from word of mouth that I rap, sing, and go-go dance. It makes me feel greatly famous for my talent.

Jerry:   What's a typical day hanging out with Selina Xiong?

Selina:  I'm a really laid back person, and I'm up for anything. Usually, I would just like to sit at home and relax because I go out of town a lot. During my free time I love to set time for my girls even if we just sit at one person's house doing nothing, but playing video games, cooking, and watching TV.

If you were to kick it with me you'll probably catch me eating. I eat a lot! Trust me! Food is the bomb! I love to talk a lot, and I say I'm not too funny, but I have a good sense of humor. I can take jokes even if it's a really bad one. I like watching cartoon shows also. My friends hate it because when cartoon is on TV I'll sit there and get so into the cartoon while my friends are trying to tell me something, and usually I'll just zone out and forget what they were telling me.

Jerry:   You have the slogan: "Cos I got that {S} on my chest." Can you briefly explain what that means to you?

Selina:   The "S" on my chest represents who I am. I'm strong, but sensitive. I'm a very long tempered person and patient. I may look like a hardcore b*tch (sorry!), but I got a warm heart. There's this phrase that I use most of the time to explain what I mean and it goes something like this: "You got to be (s)trong with it. You got to be (s)mart to do it. You got to (s)tick to it. You got to (s)lip into it. You got to (s)tay true to yourself. You got to do it (s)traight up." You can't always wait for superman to save you. You have to save yourself first, as this make me superwoman to myself.

Jerry:   Who or what inspired you to become the person you are today?

Selina:  As I grew up I had no one to look up to. All my girl cousins lived out of town. The only family members we had down here in La Crosse where I live were my dad's parents and brothers. My uncles weren't even married yet until I was almost 16, and I was already growing up on my own. My parent's love inspired and taught me to become the independent person I am today. You never know who'll be there for you because in the end you'll always have yourself.

Jerry:   Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

Selina:  Not married yet, nor have kids! That is for sure (laughs)! I see myself working in an office type setting on the computer with loads of papers and at the same time traveling all around U.S. I'll be recording in a real studio, modeling, go-go dancing, performing live, the glam of red carpet, and especially Hot Import Nights. (She sighs.) Living my life in reality from a dream come true.

Jerry:   Finish this sentence: If I rule the world, I would…

Selina:  I don't know. Make everybody eat everyday just like me? Just kidding. If I rule the world, I would at least change the minimum wage to $8.00 other than $6.50 - $7.00. That was the only thing that popped out of my head, I seriously don't know.

Jerry:   Haterz will be haterz! What would you like to say to all those haterz out there?

Selina:  Thanks for all the effort you all put unto me. Thanks for always giving your time to me even when in the end you all say, "I'm just wasting my time." Thanks for always keeping track of where I always am 24/7 of my life. Thanks for being the biggest number one fans out there. I love you all!
